Vin Gallery is pleased to announce a centennial celebration of the American artist Irving Kriesberg (1919-2009). The gallery will present selected works at the Seattle Art Fair in collaboration with the Estate of Irving Kriesberg. The special selection includes works that have never previously been exhibited.
Throughout his seven-decade career, Kriesberg kept a spontaneity of evolving form that developed within the mode of Figurative Expressionism and was enhanced by themes of myth, monuments, symbolic animal imagery, and dynamic gestures of nature, all of which developed in the course of the artist’s extensive travels, residencies and studies of various cultures in Mexico, India, and Japan.
